Junior League of Chattanooga’s 3rd Annual Kids in the Kitchen Event
Junior League of Chattanooga (JLC) is pleased to announce its third annual Kids in the Kitchen, a fun-filled day for children to learn about healthy eating habits and exercise. This year’s Kids in the Kitchen will be held Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Thrasher Elementary located at 1301 James Boulevard on Signal Mountain from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free. Activities will include educational games, physical activities including yoga and pilates, chef demonstrations and healthy snack ideas. Free giveaways are guaranteed to the first 100 attendees.
The Junior League of Chattanooga is partnering with the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Health Department/Step ONE’s Eat Smart Healthy Starts program, Thrasher Elementary, Erlanger Hospital, several local businesses and restaurants, and local dieticians and chefs to put on this year’s Kids in the Kitchen.
Kids in the Kitchen is a program supported by the Association of Junior Leagues International and its member Leagues. The program began in 2006 in an effort to address the rapid rise of childhood obesity and the associated health issues children have due to being overweight.

For my son, I choose coconut water after his soccer games. I love this drink, I find it’s healthier for him and no sugar. I am concerned about his weight, but I don’t want to give him a complex. I believe in coconut water so much that I just started on a project for Vita Coco and they gave me this discount to share. Go to Facebook and become a fan at http://www.facebook.com/vitacoco and share the $2 off coupon code from Amazon.com (http://bit.ly/c78qe7 Code:2BUCKVIT). Enjoy!
