Joseph Campbell Roundtable
Unknown to many Westerners, there are suggestions in the East that Jesus may have traveled to India and Tibet in the years before those recorded in the New Testament. Evidence for this and its interpretations was my topic for a major paper for a recent yoga training, which I will be presenting on for this Roundtable. Please note, this talk may contain alternate perspectives on Christianity and may not be suitable for everyone.
Diana Peterson is a recent graduate of the Asheville Yoga Teacher Training through Clearspring Yoga. In addition to yoga, she and her daughter Lauryn Peterson are co-owners of The Asala Center, a center for Constructive Living psychoeducational therapy. She practices Tai Ji and is a fifth degree black belt/instructor in Taekwondo, as well as a psychologist by training. Drawn to mythology from childhood, for this session Diana shifts from role of convener for the Roundtable to presenter.
The summer schedule for the Joseph Campbell Roundtable is the fourth Wednesday, July 28 at 7 pm, at Grace Episcopal. Summer meetings are in the Undercroft, most easily reached from the parking lot area next to Brainerd Road (not Sunbeam). Go up the stairs with the awning, and turn right inside the building.
The Roundtable is free and open to the public. Guests are welcome. A small donation is suggested, for support of the Roundtable program.
